Stumbling

It's bad enough to stumble down
And hope one was not seen.
It's bad enough to take a fall
And wish it ne'er had been.

Embarrassment and pride will make
Man try to hide them all.
And never want to have to own
A publicly seen fall.

But saddest of such upset turns
A person might enact:
To stumble once across the truth,
And then deny the fact.
